Verlea G. Briggs

Verlea is the manager of Customer Technical Services at Portland General Electric. Verlea has an M.B.A. and more than 30 years of utility experience. She has promoted energy efficiency to PGE customers for over 19 years. Verlea and her team educate and advise PGE customers on energy efficient technologies, programs and services, incentives and tax credits. Prior to joining PGE, Verlea was an energy representative for a gas utility in Illinois. Her focus has always been finding solutions to customer energy problems. Verlea received a B.S. from Western Illinois University and a M.B.A. from Marylhurst University. She is active in the community and currently serves on the board of Human Solutions and has served on the board of Friendly House. Verlea currently volunteers for the Black Women for Peace, Oregon Food Bank and Portland Opportunities Industrial Center (POIC/Rosemary Anderson High School). She has been a volunteer with Oregon Ballet Theatre (where her son performed), Junior League of Portland, Multnomah Athletic Club and Kids on the Block.
