The new Troutdale Library opening celebration is set for Saturday, July 24, 10am to 5pm, with the dedication ceremony scheduled for 2pm. The library is located at 2451 SW Cherry Park Rd. about a mile east of I-84.

See local artist Marlene Bauer's design for the community room's sliding glass panel doors. Echo combines abstraction, representation, formal concerns and humor into five sliding glass doors. As the panels move together, the overlap and texture intensifies into a rush of activity. Marlene Bauer is a graduate of the Pacific Northwest College of Art and is represented by The Russo Gallery in Portland and the Davidson Galleries in Seattle. She currently teaches at Marylhurst University.
