The internet is exploding with creative ways to connect with people. Whether you’re a painter, sculptor, dancer, or musician, the internet can be a powerful tool for building an audience and making money. The tricky part isn’t finding stuff to do; it’s finding the RIGHT stuff to do.
Setting up a website, Facebook Fan page, and Twitter account isn’t enough. You need to figure out who you’re trying to reach, where they spend their time online and what they will find interesting enough to follow you, show up at your events, and spend some money.
This class will focus on strategy and planning, the stuff you can’t get from an online tutorial. We will spend time brain storming, writing and sharing. You are welcome to bring your laptop or smart phone but it won’t be necessary to get the most out of the experience.
Presenter: Elgé Premeau is an internet marketing consultant. For the last 10 years she has worked with consultants, writers and artists to build an online audience. She has extensive experience in all aspects of internet marketing including: building websites and blogs, getting websites to rank in the search engines (aka search engine optimization), shopping carts, building mailings lists, and social networking. She prides herself on explaining the internet in plain English.
