Since 1981, Mary Bywater Cross has studied and traveled extensively researching and presenting lectures on quilts. A major theme of her work is quilts as documents of human experience. She has published two editions of her Oregon Trail Quilt Project book. Quilts of the Oregon Trail, was previously known as Treasures in the Trunk: Quilts of the Oregon Trail. Quilts and Women of the Mormon Migrations: Treasures of Transition is her book on migrations to the inter-mountain west. 3:30-4:30 pm.
