Announcing the new Eastside Portland Visual Arts Guide

The First Friday Gallery Guide is a map of more than 80 Eastside visual art venues. The map was completed this month, and is currently being distributed around town in conjunction with Portland's eastside February's First Friday Art Guide (Feb. 5th). The guide also has a blog with the current exhibits of participating art venues on the Eastside. A copy of the Eastside Portland Visual Arts Guide can be downloaded from the website.

Portland’s Eastside is filled with hundreds of vibrant art venues—from established high quality art galleries to a new breed of emerging and innovative artist studios and art-related venues. Add to this mix a group of art-friendly retailers, coffee shops and restaurants and you’ve got an art scene that attracts and cultivates the creative spirit of Portland. The map highlights venues that feature a First Friday exhibition and reception, but also includes venues that rotate a monthly exhibit with no First Friday reception.

Eastside Portland Visual Arts Guide invites you to explore Portland’s Eastside art galleries and unique arts districts that  contribute greatly to the vitality of our city. It can be picked up at locations all over Portland, including coffee shops, hotels, stores and galleries. It is also available at TravelPortland in Pioneer Square.
