Assistant or Associate Professor in Foundation sought by PNCA

This position requires the understanding and ability to teach Foundation curriculum, with emphases in design process, composition, digital media, and client-based practices. The applicant will be hosted in the Foundation Department where the candidate should be able to present design concerns and practice to all freshman at the college and may augment faculty expertise in the Communication Design and/or the Illustration department. In addition to teaching in Foundation, this position will teach in the Communication Design Department, mentor BFA thesis students, participate in advising students, and may be involved in mentoring MFA candidates in the College’s new Masters in Applied Craft and Design.
Qualifications: MFA in Design or related field preferred. In lieu of the MFA, candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Art or Design or related field, plus design experience and accomplishments equivalent to an MFA.
