Assistant Professor of Graphic Design sought by Portland State University

The School of Fine and Performing Arts and the Department of Art at Portland State University invite applications for an Assistant Professor of Graphic Design/Visual Communications, commencing fall 2012. This is a tenure track, 1.0 FTE, 9-month position.

Responsibilities would include:
Teaching 7 courses (28 credit hours) over the course of three quarters (academic year) in Graphic Design/Visual Commuincations at lower- and upper-division levels, as determined by the department chair; pursuit of professional activities of a scholarly and/or creative nature; development of curriculum and programs; university and departmental service; student advising and community service/outreach.
