Call for 2013 Setouchi Triennale (Japan)

The Setouchi Triennale is a contemporary art festival that takes place on multiple islands of the Seto Inland Sea. It was first held in 2010 and it attracted a huge response from hundreds of thousands of visitors. We are planning to hold the festival again in 2013.

Seeking site-specific art proposals in four categories:
1.Works using the piers
2.Works that take the island’s nature and history as their theme
3.Alley Project: Works created mainly in the alleys of the Ogijima island and the alley to the “Damon’s cave” of the Megijima island
4.Other: Open proposals

Concerning the venue of the 2013 Triennale, please refer to the “Overview of the Setouchi Triennale 2013 ” “About Art Setouchi” on the official website. The specific sites for the art projects will be determined by the Administration Office, based on the plans proposed by the applicants.

Applicant Qualification: Any person that understand the aim of Setouchi Triennale.

Application Period: Thursday, May 17, 2012 through Thursday, 31 May, 2012.

Number of Selected Proposals: 10 to 30 (the number of selection is subject to circumstances)

Application Procedures: Please prepay the application fee, and submit the documents that are stipulated in this guideline.

Application Fee: Amount: 1,000 yen (per plan)
