Local Artist Spotlight Exhibitions

In our commitment to enhancing the lives of artists and the community, these exhibitions feature original artwork by local artists.

The following criteria apply to paintings, prints, drawings, cyber art, and photography:

• All items will be available for sale
• Show must be hung for a minimum of four weeks
• Work must be original and executed by the artist within the last 5 years. No reproductions will be accepted except in the case of photographs
• Limited edition giclees may be included, but can only represent 25% of the selection.
• All entries must be substantially framed with wire adequate to accommodate the weight. Wire must be secured to the frame. Framing must also be approved by the store manager.

Upon acceptance after a viewing of your work, Beards Framing will provide your show with the following:

• Signage on display within the store highlighting your show.
• Invitations (with postage) mailed to your guests.
• Price tags for your artwork.
• Refreshments during the opening reception.
• As a featured artist, you will receive a 25% discount to frame any unframed pieces.

To ensure a successful show, please submit the following information one month prior to our exhibition.

• List of names and addresses for mailing with e-mail addresses. (submit electronic and printed copy of excel spreadsheet: “Patron List for Artist Shows”)
• List of all titles and prices of artwork (submit electronic and signed printed copies of the excel spreadsheet: “Art List for Artist Shows”)
• Condition must be listed on each item in detail. Beards Framing will be responsible to return unsold items to the artist in the condition stated. Beards Framing will not be responsible for any unsold items left in the store longer than one week after the closing date of the exhibit.
• Beards Framing will be liable up to the stated cost before commission on the “Art List”.
• Artist’s statement, biography, high resolution photos of art, logo and art information for signage and postcards (E-mail copy to sponsoring store and Christine Hess christineh@nwframing.com)

Beards Framing will display your artwork and a 20% commission will be taken on works professionally framed by our company. A 30% commission will be taken on items not framed by our company. At the end of the month, all sales will be compiled and a check will be mailed to you.
