Call for Entries: "I Want To Feel At Home Here"

I Want To Feel At Home Here, curated by Meg Scheminske, is a group exhibition of contemporary paintings exploring feelings of belonging (or not) within a particular place, time, family, profession, social or cultural context, etc. The exhibition will run at MP53, a project and exhibition space located at Milepost 5 (milepostfive.com) in Portland, OR, from July 1 – August 27, 2010. All two- and three-dimensional work will be reviewed and considered (sorry, no video-based media). Artists are invited to interpret the term “painting” loosely; works should incorporate/reference paint, but need not be categorized as “paintings.”
