Development Director sought by the Evergreen City Ballet (WA)

This position is a twenty - hour (20) per week position and will involve additional fundraising engagements outside of the normal work schedule.

The responsibilities of Development Director include:

• Responsible to the Artistic Director / Executive Director and the Board of Directors ;
• Raise 20% of annual budget;
• Create a major gifts program;
• Create a compelling case for giving;
• Build relationships between ECB and the local and regional communities which will aid in fundraising;
• Create benchmarks at all fundraising levels to achieve throughout the season;
• Written Development plan to determine fundraising goals and objectives with corporate, individual, foundation, grants and matching;
• Reach out and set meetings with corporate, foundation, individual, and local businesses with a goal of three to four meetings a month;
• Attain sponsorship for Nutcracker and Fancy Nancy;
• Research and submit five to ten new grants per fiscal year while maintaining previous grants;
• Attend two to four events as ECB representative on a monthly basis;
• Manage all donor, season ticket holder and sponsorship recognition including personal notes, program recognition and tax letters;
• Keep track of all fundraising activities on an ongoing basis and present a monthly report to the Board of Directors;
• Some marketing & communications responsibilities relating to development functions;
• Undertake other projects as assigned by the Artistic Director / Executive Director relating to fundraising;
• Works on annual budget with Artistic Director / Executive Director and Board of Directors;
• Works with Development committee on fundraising projects;
• Attend all Board meetings;
• Attend performances to increase individual giving;
• Solicit program advertising that exceeds previous fiscal year;
• Attend weekly staff meeting and report on the goals and objectives;
