Executive Director sought by Chamber Music Northwest
Now in its 43rd season, Chamber Music Northwest (CMNW) is the West Coast’s leading presenter of chamber music, producing up to 80 concerts and events annually. CMNW’s flagship Summer Festival presents programs of top international caliber in Portland’s premier performance venues for five weeks of activities that include both main-stage performances and casual “club” concerts, plus free outreach and educational events. The artists invited to perform range from rising stars to veterans, and are among the most sought-after soloists, chamber musicians and recording artists in the world. With a year-round staff of six, CMNW’s annual budget is $1.2 million; the organization has operated with a balanced budget since 1980.
The executive director (ED) reports directly to the Board, and works in close collaboration with the artistic director (AD), who also reports directly to the Board. The ED is primarily responsible for the operational, administrative and fiscal integrity and sustainability of CMNW. The AD is primarily responsible for the planning and presentation of CMNW’s music programs.
