Marketing Manager:  External Communications and Graphic Designer Position sought by White Bird. Part ad exec, part graphic designer, this is a dynamic position that is responsible for the external communications of a well-known and recognized arts organization. Visiting Faculty Position in Photography sought by Eastern Oregon University. The University seeks a qualified, creative individual for a one year fixed-term position to serve both Art and Media Arts Programs.  The successful candidate will be a dedicated professional with an active studio agenda.  This position includes courses in traditional b/w photography, digital photography, graphics, videography, and co-supervision of the Media Arts capstones. The candidate must be committed to ensuring that every student, faculty and staff member is a full member of the EOU community and that all community members recognize, promote and take advantage of the educational and cultural value of diversity. MA requiredAn MFA in Photography, Digital Media Production, Videography, or equivalent art area is preferred.  Teaching experience at the college level preferred. Candidates will be expected to engage in research to identify new individual, foundation, and government prospects; Cultivate and nurture relationships with current and potential corporate and foundation sponsors,and individual donors; In consultation with program staff and the Director, write grant proposals and reports; Write fundraising letters, reports, and appeals; maintain regular correspondence with foundations, and donors, oversee mailings; Develop and grow individual donor base; manage annual giving campaign; cultivate major gifts; Help to plan events; Create and implement annual development plan and strategy; Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and public relations strategy. Need Artists to work with Dreamers. The “ I Have a Dream” Foundation®-Oregon has been helping kids succeed in school and college for twenty years, empowering almost 900 students to pursue their educational dreams.  In preparation for their annual fundraiser, Dream Big, taking place in October, 2009 they are looking for opportunities for some of their Dreamers to contribute to this event by creating art/craft work to be sold there. There are three groups of Dreamers who will be participating: a group of high school freshmen in Portland, a group of 5th graders in Portland and a group of high school juniors in Forest Grove. The organization is looking for artists willing to work with the Dreamers in a one to two day workshop setting to teach them a new art/craft and help them create items to be sold.  They are able to pay for supplies and a small remuneration for artists who participate.  If you would like more information, please contact lois.orner@ihadoregon.org

Requires excellent communication and writing skills, basic web maintenance, and experience with social media networks. Adjunct Assistant Professor of Graphic Design sought by Western Oregon University. The Creative Arts Division is seeking applicants for a Non-Tenure-Track Assistant Professor position in graphic design with expertise in interactive and web design, information architecture, and time based media. Experience with digital photography preferred; electronic 3-D design beneficial. Excellent benefit package is included. Marketing Coordinator (P/T). The Portland Actors Conservatory is seeking a part-time marketing specialist to coordinate all aspects of marketing and promotions. Instructors for ReBuilding Center Workshops. ReFind Furniture of The ReBuilding Center is seeking qualified instructors to teach inspiring hands-on workshops focusing on art, craft and/or building practices with an emphasis on community and sustainability. Workshops are conducted inside the ReFind Furniture woodshop and are restricted to evening or weekend times. Previously class topics have included: Mosaic Making from Recycled Tiles, Create a Table from a Door, and Power Tools for Women. Topics may range from fine crafts to home improvement but all encourage others to use recycled materials in innovative ways. Chair, Department of Music & Theatre Arts sought by Southern Oregon University. The Chair will be the founding chair of a newly-combined Department of Music and Theatre Arts. With nearly 500 majors in music and theatre, 15 full-time faculty, a Center for Shakespeare Studies and summer graduate programs for theatre and music teachers, Southern is a designated center of excellence in the fine and performing arts for the Oregon University System. As a seasoned administrator, the new chair will lead faculty in developing the vision and strategic plan that will help SOU become a national and international leader in performing arts education and training. The Chair oversees a significant budget, curriculum, enrollment management, student success and faculty development. He/she also serves as the Director of Performing Arts and is expected to be a strong partner with the Southern Oregon University Foundation in seeking extramural funding for the performing arts. Instructor in Digital Media sought by Mt. Hood Community College. The Integrated Media Department at Mt.
