KOIN-TV seeks news producer

KOIN Local 6 TV in Portland, Oregon is looking for a talented news producer to join our team! The producer will be responsible for generating, writing and executing content for a yet-to-be determined newscast. Producers who have an eye for creative showcasing, clear concise writing and compelling content selections are encouraged to apply. This producer must be able to quickly adapt to the Portland DMA and to build a newscast that speaks to our target demographic. We are looking for a detail-oriented self-starter who is able to work autonomously.

Candidates with knowledge of the following are preferred: ENPS, Sony MOS, Ignite (Automoated Control Room), Nielsen LPM Ratings Analysis, Communicating with Multiple Live Crews

Daily Requirements: Generate story ideas, Dig to Find Compelling Content, Identify Showcasing Opportunities, Adhere to Branding Philosphy, Strict Attention to Meters, Strong Story & Tease Writing.
