Presenters sought for 2012 Write on the Sound Conference

Presenter proposals are now being accepted for the 27th Annual Write on the Sound Writers’ Conference presented by the Edmonds Arts Commission. The two and a half day conference focused on the craft of writing will be held October 5-7, 2012 at the Frances Anderson Center (700 Main Street) in Edmonds WA.

The conference, which has sold out for the past three years, offers over 30 workshops taught by authors, instructors and trade professionals that are a mix of how-to/hands-on, genre based and motivation. Also included in the weekend is a keynote speaker, a writing contest, manuscript critiques, and on-site bookstore. The conference begins on Friday, October 5, with a choice of 5 half-day pre-conference workshops.

Interested individuals are invited to send a professional resume that includes information about teaching or presentation experience, works published, if appropriate, and a description of one or more 75 or 90 minute classes for consideration.

Proposals will be reviewed February through mid April with final selections made in May.
