Rose City Rollers seek Volunteer Art Director

The Art Director is a key position within the Rose City Rollers that ensures high quality, brand appropriate, professional artwork for all league events as well as creating and maintaining an ambitious production schedule.

The Art Director’s objectives:
• Bout Poster Management
o Solicit and respond to artwork contributors
o Constructs and enforces production schedule. Makes sure deliverables and finished products reach final destination.
o Provide technical and artistic support to contributors
o Capable of managing typography and layout when only an illustration is submitted.
o Communicates with artists throughout the process, including delivering compensation
o Ensure that artwork is pre-press ready, providing support as needed, and managing all press checks.
• General Tasks
o Maintain the brand of the league
o Collaborate with the Head of Marketing
o Provide guidance on larger projects (bout program, etc.)
o Prepare miscellaneous collateral and marketing as necessary throughout the season
o Act as a league resource for art and other technical knowledge, as well as file management
o Support the merchandise committee as needed
o Support web team as necessary
o May take on self-identified projects as desired

Volunteer Requirements:
• Average of 5-10 hrs/month, but will ebb and flow throughout the season. Must be able to complete some projects on the fly
• 1 Year minimum commitment required
• Must have pre-press knowledge and be able to work with internet, silkscreen, and digital output
• Adobe create suite knowledge and access
• Responsive to email on a daily (or more frequent basis). Available by phone.
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work with and supervise other volunteers
