Salt Lake City International Airport TRAX Station

This is an open invitation to artists living and working in the United States to submit materials as specified to be considered for Salt Lake City International Airport TRAX Station on the North Temple TRAX line presently under construction. Recognizing the value that public art brings to the community, UTA and Salt Lake City have partnered in the Art in Transit program for each of the TRAX stations in Salt Lake as well as for the intermodal hub and commuter rail station downtown and currently, the five TRAX stations along the North Temple line. Because of the nature of the land through which this line will travel, the creative thread for this Art in Transit project is ENVIRONMENT. The natural environment, the built environment, the cultural and historical environment – each of these brings layers of interest and meaning to the road we call North Temple.
