Volunteer needed to serve as Photo Archivist

Wisdom of the Elders, Inc. (WISDOM) is seeking a volunteer or intern to help us organize photo releases and music releases for our multi-media educational project, Discovering Our Story Project, that is being developed to serve Portland's Native American community. Photo archivists preserve, identify, arrange, inventory and organize photographs so they are accessible for later reference by our organization. Archivist's duties include writing a caption or label for an identified photo with the guidance of our Video Production Team. The archivist will organize paper photo archives as well as archives of digital photos. In addition, he or she would develop and enter the information on the photos into a computer database. The individual will become a part of a dynamic volunteer organization that includes 60 committed like-minded individuals, board members, teams and staff who are deeply committed to WISDOM's mission of Native American cultural preservation, education and race rec onciliation.
