Have you heard the term teaching artist and wondered what that meant and what qualifies someone to take on that role? This workshop will cover the fundamentals of this position in the world of education. Participants will engage in the creative process, much like students in an assortment of learning environments. Walk away with an understanding of how to pursue this career path.  Presenter: Sinéad Kimbrell, Lin Lucas

Bio: Sinéad Kimbrell is the program manager of The Right Brain Initiative, overseeing long-term partnerships with schools, teaching artists and educators. She uses her background of teaching, art making, professional development and research to build strong relationship with stakeholders, as well as deepen program impact for students. Sinead has been a teaching artist for a variety of setting, including schools, community centers, and summer camps, as a contemporary and cultural movement artist.
