Compensation: $ 17.65 per hour

Latino Network’s mission is to provide transformative opportunities, services and advocacy for the education, leadership and civic engagement of our youth, families and communities. We build and manage collaborative and energetic teams to implement high quality, culturally inclusive programs. We actively partner across a variety of city, county, state and community organizations to deliver training and support, a wide range of services, as well as influence policy.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

This position will be responsible for providing logistic, planning, and staffing support to our advocacy and leadership programs. This position provides support to the rest of the Advocacy department with data entry, technical assistance, on-site support for activities and events, purchasing supplies, and administrative support including scheduling and tracking of expenses. This position is meant to be flexible in meeting the needs of the Advocacy department and work in collaboration with departments across the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supports multiple leadership and advocacy programs with events and activities.
Provides administrative support to the Director of Advocacy, including support with scheduling, tracking expenses, and project management.
Participates in team meetings, agency all-staff meetings and organizational events.
Provides on-site support during department program sessions, activities and events.
Coordinates with community partners, local and state government partners, schools and others to strengthen partnerships.
Enters data and documentation using Efforts to Outcomes (ETO).
Meets deadlines for mileage, program expense reimbursements and timesheets.
Meets data deadlines to ensure reports are completed on time.
Complies with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and existing confidentiality laws.
Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance.
Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
Respectfully takes direction from Supervisor and other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:

Experience in community organizing, outreach and advocacy.
Knowledge of and experience working with families in the Latino community, familiarity with worldview and cultural practices of Latino community members impacted by multiple systemic barriers.
Bilingual in Spanish and English, including strong oral and written communication skills.
Attention to detail.
Self motivated, ability to take initiative.
Strong desire to promote racial justice through community organizing, leadership development and advocacy.
Ability to work well independently and within a team.
Ability to be flexible and creative in the work environment.
Ability to coordinate multiple priorities.
Strong follow-through.
Strong computer skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Latino Network is a fast-paced, highly engaged work environment with satellite operations and positions performing work both onsite and remotely.
