We live in a time of unprecedented uncertainty: a time with two or three or four or more worlds of crisis’s: climate, health care, pandemic, racism, & fascism, and what is still unknown to us. How do we juggle between despair and hope?
Gallery 114 invites 2 and 3 dimensional artists to expressly depict this tension and even perhaps suggest a remedy to our status and circumstance.
This exhibit will open January 6, 2022 and run through January 29, 2022.
Our gallery is one of the oldest art collectives on the west coast and is located in the heart of Portland, Oregon’s bustling arts playground, the Pearl District.
At Gallery 114, you can “expect the unexpected” because we are artist owned, artist run and artists unleashed. We encourage our members as well as jury participants to take risks and explore new and different creative efforts with underlying quality and integrity.
For this show, “Apocalypse.Maybe”, we turn our gallery over to innovative artists who test boundaries and dive into their sense of creative freedom.
