Going into our 6th year The Verdancy Project is now accepting applications for our 2026 residency program. We provide privacy, nature, solitude, and time for artists working in the disciplines of visual art, dance, theater, music, media, literary and interdisciplinary arts. This Residency is for creatives whose work exhibits a unique and specific connection to nature and ecology. We are located in Troutdale, OR.
For 2026 we are offering three different types of residencies
Ponder Residency
1-2 week residency running from April to Mid October. This is a time just for you, no expectations or requirements of productivity. Whether you want to recharge, experiment, reset, or dive into a project, you’ll have the space to explore freely.
Zymoglyphic Bio-Art Residency
1-2 week residency running from April to Mid October. The Zymoglyphic Museum is sponsoring a Bio-Art residency the Verdancy Project! They are looking for projects at the intersection of art and biology.
Land Art Residency
3-month land-only residency dedicated to the exploration of land art. Here, you’ll find a safe, private environment perfect for experimenting and creating directly with the natural landscape.

The Verdancy Project is a multidisciplinary, community-centered initiative dedicated to fostering curiosity and inspiring environmental stewardship. We offer creative residencies, retreats, community art projects, events, and workshops. We provide a unique opportunity to reflect, create, and explore in an inspiring setting in the Pacific Northwest.
