L.O. Reads Exhibition 2018: Art as Refuge
Arts Council of Lake Oswego
February 2, 2018 – February 28, 2018

Art as Refuge
Join us for a group exhibition inspired by the themes of Good Morning, Midnight, a novel by Lily Brooks-Dalton and the L.O. Reads book selection for 2018. The exhibition will be at the 510 Museum & ARTspace, Lake Oswego, OR and aims to complement other citywide programming held in conjunction with the Lake Oswego Library’s award winning reading program. More information about L.O. Reads and a full schedule of events and programs can be found here: Learn more about the Arts Council here:

This exhibition aims to start a conversation in our community about the themes articulated through Brooks-Dalton’s prose. She describes her novel, in part, as focusing “on the interplay and overlap of connection and isolation.” She continues, “The isolation of an individual is a moving, heartbreaking thing, but what about the isolation of our species? The thing I kept coming back to was always: what matters? What is left when you take everything else away?”

Learn more about the book, Good Morning, Midnight: and read an interview with the author: In addition to the themes listed in the Call to Artists below, this list of key words inspired by the novel may spark your imagination:
