The Sitka Center for Art and Ecology offers over 100 workshops each summer taught by a diverse group of approximately 80 instructors. These instructors come from across Oregon and around the nation to teach in a beautiful and inspiring environment with dedicated students. Each year, we seek 20 – 25 new instructors to submit workshop proposals to refresh and invigorate our programs.
Visit our current online catalog here https://www.sitkacenter.org/workshop/workshopslist for a quick glance at this summer’s workshop schedule. In 2019, we are especially interested in workshops focused on learning about and experiencing the local ecology near Sitka, as well workshops that explore the relationship between art and ecology. We’re also welcoming proposals for 1- to 2-day introductory level workshops, with all materials provided by the instructor and included in the cost.
On-site private housing is provided to instructors during their workshop. Learn about teaching here: https://www.sitkacenter.org/workshop/teaching
Deadline for teaching proposals from new instructors is September 3, 2019. If you’re interested in becoming an instructor, please apply online at https://www.sitkacenter.com/loginworkshopapp.html
