Executive Assistant to composer and steel pannist, Andy Akiho.
This is part-time, flexible position. You will serve as main point of contact for Andy with the rest of his team (including management, marketing and PR) as well as the music industry and public at large. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Oversee the publishing of Andy’s catalog including managing licensing requests, tracking and reporting performances, registering new work with ASCAP, tracking online sales, liaising with printers to maintain inventory, oversee person who is responsible for packing and shipping orders.
Oversee day to day activities for Andy’s record label – Aki Rhythm Productions. To include but not limited to coordinating logistics for all album releases, communicating with label Distributor, working with lawyer on agreements.
Oversee marketing logistics which include things such as updating website, assisting with social media posts, running Google Ads, developing an email list, helping to craft and send email newsletters. Ideal candidate would be able to assist in redevelopment of website.
Coordinate the logistics for all personal appearances which can include performances, rehearsals, workshops, residencies, interviews, panel discussions, etc.
Perform administrative tasks such as managing correspondence for multiple email accounts, tracking receipts, invoicing for compensation and reimbursements, maintaining Quickbooks account, assisting with tax prep.
Must be a self starter and able to work remotely. Portland, OR is Andy’s home base but he’s often traveling so being Portland-based is preferred but not required. Some assistant or admin experience required, preferable in music and/or entertainment industries. Compensation will depend upon experience.
