Position: Front Office Coordinator
Status: Part-Time (20 – 28 hours/week), On-Site, Portland
Have you ever considered running away to the circus? Can you juggle multiple projects? Are you a people person? We want to talk with you about being our Front Office Coordinator, the nerve center for Echo Theater Company. This person will manage our front office, oversee basic ordering & invoicing, and work reception during class times, explaining class options to parents, meeting-and-greeting students when they arrive and generally welcoming the community to the theater.
Echo Theater Company is a long-standing not-for-profit circus arts school and performance venue housed in a century-old former silent movie theater near Hawthorne Blvd. We help people of all ages and abilities discover their potential and embrace their humanity through movement, aerial arts, and ensemble theater.
The Front Office Coordinator will interact with the public regularly and should have excellent customer service skills. Additionally, this position helps with supply management, including ordering and receiving office and program materials; and, provides support for the Executive Director with basic bookkeeping.
While somewhat flexible, the hours are steady and should coincide with our youth classes: Monday – Friday 2:30 – 6:30 pm and Saturday 8:30 am – 12:30 pm. The position starts at $18/hour, and staff is eligible for free classes.
