HAND SEWING WORKSHOP FOR TEENS: LEARN THE BASICS & MAKE A BAG! | SAT OCT 9

A full day of hand sewing- an incredible skill to have! Hand stitching is an easy method of stitching hems, small sewing projects and mending clothing and other items. There are times when you may not have access to a sewing machine or the job is simply better done by hand–become your own seamstress & creator! All materials provided & each student will leave with a basic hand sewing kit!

For AGES 11 & UP, Full Day workshop with lunch break

Morning Workshop (2 hours): Overview of all tools & materials, master several basic stitches, conquer sewing a button & explore mending and the world of fabric-what to choose and how to work with it!

Afternoon Workshop (2 hours): Combine all your practice skills from the morning & make your very own drawstring bag!

*Lunch Break Noon-1PM, please bring your own food or go off campus for lunch. Masks required.
Instructor: Natasha Luepke
NOTE: No experience necessary. All materials provided by the CCC. Every student will leave with: Your Drawstring Bag, needle, thread, needle threader, safety pin, ribbon, & practice fabric with button.
