Compensation: This position is nonexempt with an hourly rate of $15. It is 20-30 hours a week, January through June.

The Patron Services department of Oregon Children’s Theatre (OCT) ensures that audience members, program participants, and patrons receive exceptional service and support through every interaction and every transaction. Impeccable customer service is one of our highest priorities and the key to sustaining great relationships with children, families, and teachers.
We seek to fill the position of Patron Services Assistant with an individual who brings a strong commitment to customer service and care. Position will be hourly and will be between 20-30 hours a week depending on seasonal needs.
This position will be representing OCT at Hatfield Hall (1111 SW Broadway, Portland OR) during school and public performances. This requires strong communication skills and a high level of service that aligns with OCT’s mission.
Drive sales through exemplary service, upselling, and subscription promotion.
Maintain thorough knowledge of the ticketing software and ticketing policies.
Serve as the OCT liaison for school performances. Coordinate with the house manager to greet and seat schools and troubleshoot issues with school orders.
Manage the box office at Hatfield Hall during public performances. (40% of the job is during the weekends when in production.)
Responsible for being the first on phones/walk-ups and is able to assist with a variety of patron needs, including: ticket sales, school field trip sales and invoicing, resolving ticket issues, gift certificate purchases, general questions about OCT performances and programming, call forwarding, and other patron needs.
Diverse administrative tasks including: voucher fulfillment, printing and mailing tickets, data entry, office supply management, and preparation of will call.

The ability to exercise independent judgement when helping patrons with varying needs.
Trustworthiness and ability to work with cash and confidential financial information.
Ability to work with and learn a variety of software applications, including the PatronManager system and MS Office.
Strong work ethic with a dedication to exceptional quality and service.
Ability to work with people in a variety of settings with a positive attitude and care.
The ability to work weekends at Hatfield Hall during productions, and the occasional evening shift.
