Residency theme: Process and Material
Artists, ecological scientists, and scholars wanting to explore connections to nature, land conservation, historic preservation, agriculture and community building projects are invited to Pine Meadow Ranch Center for Arts & Agriculture (PMRCAA) in Sisters, Oregon.
PMRCAA’s Residency Program offers a space where cultural practitioners, scientists, and creative thinkers can immerse themselves in their work and research through access to studios, open spaces, and beautiful scenery. PMRCAA seeks cultural practitioners and scientists who want to engage with the atmosphere of a working ranch and with the local community.
We invite artists, scientists, and scholars whose work explores the theme of Process and Material to apply for a 2027 residency at PMRCAA.
Process and Material, invites artists and scientists to investigate the fundamentals of their practice on a working Ranch in Central Oregon. Whether working with substances drawn from the earth or found objects, all materials hold memory and meaning as the methods of the practitioner work to unfold their potential. In 2027, we encourage artists, conservationists, and scholars to think deeply about their own processes and materials, how they inform the works they create, and to explore new and imaginative opportunities.
