Position Title: Programs Support Specialist

Reports To: Youth Empowerment & Violence Prevention Program Manager

Classification: Full-Time

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, 1.0 FTE

Compensation: $37,000 per year

We build and manage collaborative and energetic teams to implement high quality, culturally inclusive programs. We actively partner across a variety of city, county, state and community organizations to deliver training and support, a wide range of services, as well as influence policy.


This position will be responsible for providing logistic, planning, and staffing support to our Washington County programs. This position supports established family navigation, mentoring, and early intervention programming. This position provides support to the Washington County programs with data entry, technical assistance, on-site support for groups, purchasing supplies, and celebrations. This is a position meant to be flexible in meeting the needs of the Washington County programs and work in collaboration with the teams to offer families an uplifting experience in our programs.


Engages in professional development opportunities around the Juvenile Justice system, positive communication, and other related topics.
Supports Washington County programs with events and activities.
Participates in planning and conducting groups for youth and families.
Participates in bi-weekly team meetings.
Provides on-site support during groups.
Coordinates with staff, partners, and community members to build strong relationships.
Enters data and documentation using Efforts to Outcomes (ETO).
Support supervisor and director with given tasks.
Meets deadlines for mileage, program expense reimbursements and timesheets.
Meets data deadlines to ensure reports are completed on time
Participates in mandatory all-staff, team meetings and trainings
Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance.
Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
Respectfully takes direction from the Supervisor.
Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.



One year minimum of organizing, outreach and advocacy in the community. ? Cultural proficiency and understanding including language and similar life experiences of the population served.
Knowledge of and experience working with families in the Latino community.
Intermediate bilingual (English and Spanish) skills in both written and verbal communications.
Ability to work well independently and within a team.
Ability to be flexible and creative in the work environment. Ability to coordinate multiple priorities.
Ability to review technical forms or information for accuracy and completeness.
Basic knowledge of arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
Skill in operating typical office equipment such as calculator, photocopier, phone etc. ? Intermediate skills in operating a computer terminal or micro computer to enter, update, correct, and retrieve information.
Intermediate skill in using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Ability to tolerate and thrive in a fluid situation where plans change based on new information.
Respect for diversity; desire and ability to work cross-culturally.

Latino Network is a fast-paced, highly engaged work environment with satellite operations with positions performing work both onsite and remotely. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); outdoor weather conditions; extreme cold (non-weather) and extreme heat (non-weather). The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
