Artist Stipend: $1,350/ per heart

The City of Wilsonville in collaboration with the Arts, Culture and Heritage Commission are requesting applications from talented emerging or professional artists to submit unique and artistic design concepts to paint onto fiberglass heart sculptures that measure 52” X 52” X 10” (~60 lbs). Selected artists will paint their design on the heart sculpture, which will be on display at public parks and City facilities throughout Wilsonville.

In 2017 the Wilsonville City Council adopted Resolution No. 2626 declaring the City of Wilsonville as a welcoming and inclusive city. The resolution states that Wilsonville is “an inclusive City that has and will continue to welcome the collective contributions of all persons, honoring and respecting people of every race, color, national origin, immigration or refugee status, heritage, culture.” The project theme “Wilsonville: Many Cultures, One Heart” aims to represent the distinctive artistic, cultural, and historical framework that makes Wilsonville a wonderful place. If selected Artists will be responsible for:

• Transportation of heart (Pick up and delivery)
• Painting their approved design on the front and back
• Sealing/clear coating with an anti-graffiti coating provided by the City
