AFRU Gallery presents “The Shadow Over Afru,” a show of Lovecraftian and cosmic horror!

Bring out your visions of incomprehensible entities from unknown realms! Forbidden and dangerous knowledge! Irreversible madness from glimpsing creatures beyond the stars! Scientific curiosity decayed into existential dread! And, let us not forget – the catastrophic results of exploring the frozen, lightless corners of the world!

Works inspired by or in the vein of H.P. Lovecraft, Arthur Machen, August Derleth, Junji Ito, Caitlin R. Kiernan, Thomas Ligotti, Laird Barron, Panos Cosmatos, Annihilation/Jeff Vandermeer’s Southern Reach trilogy, Algernon Blackwood’s “The Willows,” House of Leaves, Gideon Falls, Bird Box, The Three-Body Problem, The Thing, The Mist, The Void, and THE VOID are welcome.

Submission Deadline: Friday, September 22nd – ALL MEDIA WELCOME

Please limit 2D work to 4′ x 4′ max, 3D work to 3′ x 3′ x 3′ – please note any special display requests (I.E. hung from ceiling, placed directly on floor). If you would like to submit video art, sound art, or larger multi-media installations, please contact us with details, including tech requirements, at: infinitecreature@gmail.com
Artists may submit up to 3 pieces max.
Exhibition is juried – submissions may be declined at curators’ discretion.
No entry fee.
Sales are spilt 40% to AFRU / 60% to the artist. NFS works accepted.
Send images of completed work for use in postcards/press by Sunday, August 20th
