The Craft Center, located in the Erb Memorial Union at University of Oregon is currently hiring instructors for the fall of 2023. We are seeking teaching artists to contract for various workshops.
We welcome all artists who are interested in working with us to apply.
We are also seeking artists for specific areas:
Fibers: quilting and basket weaving
Photography: darkroom
Glass: torch, fusing, stained glass, and furnace work
Painting and drawing
Printmaking
Beginning woodshop and project-based woodshop offerings

1) Current CV with three references.
2) Portfolio of your work 10 images minimum, 20 maximum (jpegs, pdf, PowerPoint or website/blog link)
3) Cover Letter. Please address the following in your cover letter:
• Your experience teaching workshops for adults, including how you promote diversity, social connections, and growth within wide-ranging groups.
• Your technical experiences and approach to your own artmaking.
• Experiences in fostering a sense of a community that is open and inclusive.
• $25 per teaching hour.
