Position Title: Youth Program Assistant
Reports to: Program Manager – Creative Youth Development
Location: Fort Worden State Park, Port Townsend, WA
Classification: Part-Time; Non-Exempt; Prorated Benefits
Schedule: Varies; includes some evenings and weekends during program sessions
Rate of Pay: $18–$22 per hour
Benefits: Prorated vacation, sick leave, holidays, and 401(k) plan
Position Description:
Centrum is seeking a collaborative, organized, and youth-centered individual to join our team as a Youth Program Assistant. This position supports the coordination and delivery of arts-based youth programs that foster creativity, inclusion, and community. The role involves a blend of administrative support, program logistics, and on-site coordination, helping ensure a high-quality experience for youth participants, families, faculty, and partners.
The Youth Program Assistant works closely with the Program Manager and other Centrum staff to plan and implement a range of day and overnight youth programs throughout the year. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic, arts-centered environment and is passionate about supporting youth development through creative experiences.
