Born and raised in England, David Wynde moved to the USA in 1982, living in Hawaii for nine years where he attended graduate school and then worked for an investment company and a bank. He and his wife, Sharon, moved to Portland in 1991.
David has more than 40 years of experience in finance and financial management, organizational leadership, staff development, and coaching. He is an independent consultant, coach, and interim manager for nonprofit, public, and private organizations. David currently teaches a class in accounting and financial controls for nonprofit organizations at the University of Portland.
He served on the Portland Public Schools Board of Education from 2003 to 2011; and later served as Deputy Chief Financial Officer for PPS, where he oversaw the development, management, and oversight of the district’s budget and helped lead the district’s strategic financial management.
