The OSA Rose Festival Show is an artistic celebration of the City of Portland and its traditions surrounding its iconic flower, the rose. This year the official Portland Rose Festival theme is “Dream Forward”.
OSA is honored to participate in the events surrounding this festival by unveiling a
portrait of this years Rose Festival Queen and presenting paintings in our gallery which
feature scenes from around Portland and still life portraits of our beloved roses.
The show has historically been one of our biggest shows and we hope this year Portland
artists will submit a wide array of art work on these traditional themes.

This year’s Rose Festival show will be juried by Ron Stocke. Born 1966 in Chico California, Ron Stocke moved to the Pacific Northwest in 1979. An award-winning watercolor artist, Ron is a regular contributor to, and has been a cover artist for Watercolor Artist Magazine as well as other publications. Teaching comprehensive workshops throughout North America and Europe, he also conducts demonstrations and lectures on various art materials and creating a safe, environmentally friendly studio. Ron holds Signature Membership with the American Watercolor Society, National Watercolor Society, Northwest Watercolor Society, is an elected member of the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour, and a member of the American Impressionist Society. He has been an Artist Ambassador for M.Graham Watercolors for over 15 years.

Artwork Pick-up: Friday, June 28 | 10am – 4 pm & Monday, July 1 | 10am – 4pm
GUIDELINES
This is a juried show, open to the public.
Artworks must be original to the artist and not have been exhibited previously in the OSA gallery.
The theme is Roses and Portland Scenes.
Accepted mediums: All 2D and 3D mediums.
Entry Fee:
OSA Members: $35 for up to 2 pieces
Non-Members: $45 for up to 2 pieces (Artists should call the OSA Office to enter the show – 503-228-0706).
Artworks should be works recently made within the last year and must not have been exhibited previously in The Gallery at OSA.
Artists must deliver and pick-up their pieces during designated hours. There is a $10 storage fee for late pick-ups unless otherwise arranged with the office. There is a $25 charge for OSA to adjust incorrect or improperly installed hardware: $5 to furnish parts and $20 for labor to install D-Rings and wire.

Step 2: Submit Images Online: Submission of images due by May 23rd, 2024. The image you send is what is presented in the Online Gallery.
Step 3: Drop off artwork and printed OSA Gallery Contract on Friday, May 31st 2024, and Monday, June 3rd, 2024 from 10am – 4pm.
