Monica joined the RACC team in April 2023 as a Grants Program Specialist. She studied early childhood development and spent 8 years teaching art based learning at preschools. Monica received her degree in dance from California State University Fullerton and has worked with non-profit organizations as an administrator, grant writer and fundraiser.
She has danced professionally in California and Colorado where she was a member of Benita Bike Dance Art, Winifred R. Harris’ Between Lines, and was the Education Programs Coordinator at the Colorado Ballet.
Since moving to Portland, Monica has worked with Arts for Learning (formerly Young Audiences) as the Institutional Giving Manager and Steps for Youth as Director of Education and Community Engagement. Monica enjoys biking around town, cooking as mediation, and snuggling with her sweet kitten, Juan Gomez.
