Headwater Investment Consulting Sculpture Project, Call to Artists
Location: First Street between Davis and Evans Streets, McMinnville, OR
408 SE First Street, McMinnville, OR 97128
Revision: 4 | Date: May 30, 2025
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Headwater Investment Consulting is seeking an artist or artists to create a compelling outdoor sculpture to be placed at the entrance of our professional office. The piece should embody themes related to water and/or nature, reflecting a sense of movement, tranquility, and connection to the natural world. The ideal work will be both visually striking and harmonious with the surrounding environment. It should evoke a sense of inspiration and calm for clients, staff, and visitors alike. Artists are encouraged to explore interpretations that incorporate local natural elements, local history, or abstract expressions of water and life. This is a paid commission. We welcome submissions from established and emerging artists, and we are open to a variety of materials suitable for permanent outdoor display.
The founders of Headwater are avid river runners. The name Headwater comes from their love of the rivers of the Pacific Northwest and the South West. They worked as white water raft and dory guides on the Rouge, Salmon, Snake, Owyhee, Grand Ronde, and Colorado Rivers.
