Call for Dancers – Field Study
Field Study is a new, Portland-based, project-driven dance initiative dedicated to exploring movement as environment.
I’m seeking 4–6 contemporary dancers aged 21+ interested in process, collaboration, and performance. This is a space for play, refinement, and creating immersive, visually-driven work together. Dancers should be experienced performers and comfortable with contemporary, modern, ballet, partnering, floorwork, and improvisation.
My ultimate goal is to work towards creating paid dance opportunities. While this is currently an unpaid project, dancers will receive professional dance photography and access to marketing/branding assets for personal use, including headshots, rehearsal images, promo photography, and high-quality performance footage.
Rehearsals will be primarily evening and/or weekend mornings, with a goal of 2-4 hours per week and scheduled based on availability provided.
