Collaboration Opportunity: Help Shape a Unique Comedic Musical in Portland

Are you passionate about musical theatre and comedy? I’m seeking a collaborator who is eager to help craft a meaningful and inspiring story for a new musical that has the potential to succeed, both creatively and financially.

Join me in further developing a quirky musical about a West Texas cult anxiously awaiting the end of the world according to the Mayan calendar. This show has successfully completed three staged readings, and now it requires a dedicated individual to refine and reimagine the script for a future two-week workshop in Portland, Oregon.

What I’m Looking For:

• A dramaturg or experienced writer who can seamlessly integrate up to 25 original songs.
• A fresh, creative approach to shaping the book based on insights from previous staged readings.
• A love for comedy, musical theatre, and distinctive storytelling.

About the Opportunity:
This is a collaborative project born from four years of dedication, and while there is no upfront payment, you will earn royalties if we successfully merge the script and music according to DGA contract standards.
