push/FOLD returns home to Portland with its critically acclaimed work Early for a three-night engagement at the AWOL Performance Warehouse, March 7-9, 2025, following a powerful run at PRAx in Corvallis, OR. This push/FOLD season finale offers audiences an intimate in-the-round experience of the company’s bold, physically charged storytelling through movement and sound (Runtime: 60-minutes without intermission).
Choreographed and composed by push/FOLD’s Artistic Director Samuel Hobbs, Early immerses audiences in a visceral world of time and human connection, love, and loss. Featuring an original score woven seamlessly with the company’s signature athletic and fluid movement-partnering, Early has captivated audiences across the West Coast, Canada, and Mexico.
Returning to its original in-the-round staging, these performances promise a deeply personal encounter with push/FOLD’s fearless artistry. Featuring both original and new cast members, Early continues to evolve, offering a fresh yet familiar intensity that lingers long after the final note fades.
