Our mission is to enrich communities through arts and culture. We support the creative economy of the greater Portland area by providing equitable funding, managing a nationally acclaimed public art program, and by developing public and private partnerships. Through advocacy we are building community support for artists, creatives, arts educators, and art serving organizations. For more info, please see: https://racc.org/about/
Only some volunteer opportunities will require a full background check. Please see the volunteer position description to check if a background check is required. We will arrange any background checks needed. All volunteer opportunities will go through a phone screening process and we request references to be provided. Please note that having a criminal record does not automatically disqualify you from volunteering.
We currently do not have any open internships. If you are a nonprofit, college/university, high school, or creative professional interested in potentially partnering with us on our internship program we ask you to contact scumming@racc.org.
Please fill in the volunteer intake form here or contact our Hiring/Volunteer Coordinator, scumming@racc.org. Please indicate that you are interested in a future volunteer opportunity. We will be in touch when opportunities become available. All opportunities will be posted on the RACC website.
If you are a minor, you will need permission from a guardian. We welcome students who are 14 years or older. Please contact us for a release form at scumming@racc.org and be sure to fill out the volunteer form.
Volunteer positions are not paid. Please see our careers page if you are looking for employment.
As part of our commitment to the communities we serve we prioritize volunteer opportunities for people situated in the tri-county area (Multnomah, Clackamas, and Washington counties). If you are outside of this area but still wish to volunteer, we welcome you to fill in our intake form.
